The ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament has a rich tennis history and has been one of the main indoor tournaments in the world for several years. From Arthur Ashe, via Bjorn Borg to Roger Federer, we have welcomed almost all the international tennis legends in the Rotterdam Ahoy. The ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament is a complete day or night out, during which there is a lot to enjoy. Each year, more than 100,000 visitors enjoy the tennis and the activities in Sports Plaza.

The greatest dart tournament in the world visited The Netherlands for the first time in 2016. In its ten years of existence, the tournament had previously been played only in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The first edition was a great success. Almost 10,000 spectators, dressed in orange in a sold out Ahoy, rooted for the Dutch top darters Michael Van Gerwen and Raymond Barneveld. In 2017, the tournament is again in the planning.

In 2016, the Ultimate Fight Championship (UFC) came to the Rotterdam Ahoy for a fight night. It was the first time that the largest martial arts organization in the world organized a fight night in The Netherlands. The Dutch athletes put their best foot forward during the UFC Fight Night Rotterdam. In a sold out Ahoy, both Stefan Struve and Alistair Overeem won on a technical knock-out.
From 26 September until 4 October 2015, Rotterdam was entirely enthralled by volleyball. After the preliminary rounds in various play cities, the finals followed in the Ahoy Arena. Russia managed to defeat The Netherlands in our Arena in three sets, before an audience of 10,000 spectators.
